Our final session at Dinas Powys Library was filled with colour, laughter, and creativity as participants took part in tile painting.

The group had two options: to follow step-by-step flower illustrations for a guided design, or to explore their own unique style through abstract and modern art. The results were beautiful and diverse, with some participants choosing to keep their tiles for their homes and gardens, while others created pieces to be showcased in our upcoming art auction.

Occupational therapy-informed activities like these go beyond art—they support fine motor coordination, sustained concentration, problem-solving, creative expression, and social interaction. For many, it was not just about making something decorative, but about experiencing the joy of creating together and building a sense of community.
As we wrapped up, participants reflected on the journey of our groups at Dinas Powys, sharing how much they valued the sessions and the sense of accomplishment they brought.
It’s been a privilege to deliver these sessions, and we’re so proud of the creativity and resilience shown by everyone who took part. 🌟
