Today at Minton Court, we celebrated Bonfire Night with a blend of fun, creativity, and music! We kicked off with a Bonfire Night quiz, sparking conversations and memories of past celebrations. Participants then got hands-on with pebble painting, using vibrant acrylic pens and paints to create unique designs on stones – from fireworks to seasonal scenes, each pebble became a personal masterpiece. We wrapped up the session with musical bingo, adding some lively tunes and a bit of friendly competition to end the day on a high note.

Therapeutic Benefits

Today’s activities offered multiple benefits for well-being:

  • Cognitive Stimulation: The quiz and musical bingo engaged memory, recall, and attention, all in a fun, social format.

  • Fine Motor Skills and Creativity: Painting pebbles provided a great opportunity for fine motor practice and encouraged individual artistic expression.

  • Social Engagement: From quiz questions to music favorites, today’s activities promoted conversation, laughter, and connection among participants.

  • Emotional Well-being: The creativity involved in painting, coupled with the upbeat atmosphere of musical bingo, lifted spirits and fostered a sense of accomplishment.

Today’s Bonfire Night celebration combined creativity, nostalgia, and community – making for a memorable and therapeutic session!
