Today at Age Connects Café, we celebrated the season with a heartwarming and creative session making Easter cards. The room was full of colour, conversation, and care as everyone designed their own unique cards to share with loved ones.

Using a mix of craft materials—stickers, pastels, patterned paper, and more—participants expressed their creativity and embraced the Easter spirit. Some added heartfelt messages, while others focused on spring-themed designs, chicks, bunnies, and flowers.

Occupational Therapy Benefits

✂️ Fine Motor Skills – Cutting, sticking, and folding supported hand coordination, grip strength, and precision.

💡 Cognitive Stimulation – Planning designs, choosing colours, and composing messages engaged attention, memory, and problem-solving.

💬 Emotional Expression & Connection – Making cards with others encouraged self-expression and created opportunities to think of loved ones, boosting mood and emotional wellbeing.

👫 Social Interaction – The session was full of chatter, laughter, and sharing ideas—building community and reducing isolation.

Sometimes the simplest activities bring the most joy. Today was a lovely example of how creativity and connection can brighten a day.
