Today, we had a fantastic session at Age Connects Café on Holton Road, Barry, where we explored the therapeutic benefits of pebble painting. This session was extra special as we welcomed a new member, Dee-Dee, to our group. It’s always a joy to see new faces joining in and becoming part of our community!
Pebble painting is more than just a fun craft—it's a therapeutic activity that supports mental well-being. The process of painting encourages focus, enhances fine motor skills, and promotes relaxation. Working with natural materials like pebbles also sparks memories of time spent in nature, opening up conversations and fostering social connections among participants.
Today’s session was our second-to-last for the year. Next week, we’ll be getting into the festive spirit with a Christmas-themed crafts and quiz session—a perfect way to wrap up the year.
We’re excited to announce that starting January 7th, we’ll be back at the café running sessions on the first three Tuesdays of every month until July, from 10:30 to 12:00. We look forward to welcoming new and returning members in the new year! 🌟
